The contribution investigates Albertini’s poetic practice in terms of epic Aristotelianism. By reviewing three of the author’s satires in defense of the Gerusalemme Liberata, it offers an account of the positions adopted in support of Tasso and his poem, which are perfectly consistent with the rules inherited from the Poetics.
